FANCY FRIDAY BECOME FANCY DRESS FRIDAY

The Up-Helly-Aa spirit carried on into the last day of term at Brae High School as the fundraising for a whole range of future school trips continued with a fancy dress competition. Clare Nesfield was sponsored to the tune of £110 NOT to wear black and she made a bit on the side by charging for photgraphic rights to the once in a term event!

Secondary 6 were charged with the running of the end of term assembly and rose admirably to the task - as indeed they have done all year round in the guise of Volunteering for a multitude of duties around the school from the work with the School bank to Sighted guiding to Enterprise activities to running Sunday Teas and Sports coaching and peer supporting.

Here Assembly compere Iona Graham (or Cinders to her friends) is seen presenting S1 pupil Iwan MacBride with a prize for the best piece of prose in Secondary 1 - S6 judged the entries.
Miss Cartney also played a leading role as she outlined the success of the fundraising efforts that had so far yielded over £10500 towards funding the many and varied School trips that are planned this year

Ohh- and she also won the prize for the best dressed teacher - in an 'ideal' school uniform.
